Fargone is a collective PaaS — deploy apps, attach databases, serve files, and expose local servers, all from the web or the CLI.
No passwords. No credit cards. Sign in with a passkey and start deploying.
Create an account
- Go to
/login. - Pick a handle (this becomes your namespace on the platform) and enter your email.
- Solve the captcha and submit.
- Your browser will prompt you to create a passkey — this is how you sign in. Support Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key.
- If the platform requires approval, your account starts as
PENDINGuntil an admin activates it. Otherwise you areACTIVEimmediately.
You can also sign in with GitHub, Google, or Discord if those providers are enabled.
Install the CLI
npm install -g @fargone/cli
fargone login
The login command opens your browser to a device-flow page. Enter the code shown in your terminal, approve it, and you are in. Credentials are stored in ~/.config/fargone/config.json.
CI / headless environments
Set the FARGONE_TOKEN environment variable to skip the device flow entirely:
export FARGONE_TOKEN=your_access_token
Deploy your first app
From a local directory
fargone deploy my-app ./my-project --watch
This zips the directory, uploads it, builds it with Nixpacks, and starts a container. The --watch flag streams build logs to your terminal.
Your app will be live at https://my-app.{FARGONE_DOMAIN}.
From the web
- Go to Dashboard > Apps > New App.
- Upload a zip file or connect a GitHub repo.
- Click Create.
From GitHub
fargone apps create my-app --github https://github.com/you/repo --auto-deploy
Every push to the default branch will trigger a new deployment.
What just happened
- Nixpacks auto-detected your runtime (Node, Python, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP, Deno, Bun, static, ...).
- A Docker image was built — no Dockerfile required.
- A container was started on the platform's infrastructure.
- A subdomain was assigned:
my-app.{FARGONE_DOMAIN}.
Your app is publicly accessible on the internet.
Next steps

fargone db my-app add postgres - Set environment variables —
fargone env set my-app NODE_ENV=production - Connect GitHub for automatic deploys on push
- Upload files to the CDN —
